We offer all those in their twilight years and living in the UK, an opportunity to record on audio their precious memories - completely free of charge.
All our professional recordings are private & confidential and will serve as a treasured legacy for their families and friends to cherish for generations to come
Everyone has a story to tell
To make this possible, we train and support a network of talented Biographers in a wide variety of settings across the country.
Our Biographers record each story with compassion and due diligence whilst also capturing the unique sound of the voice of each storyteller we meet.
Our service is simple and easy to access so that as many people as possible can benefit.
Care groups: how it works
We create lasting partnerships with care homes, residential retirement homes, hospices, hospitals and charities to professionally record your storytellers.
Our audio services are free of charge, private and confidential.
Our services are flexible and are designed to meet your differing needs.
We record face to face or remotely, using the additional services of our own professional Audio Engineers.
Storytellers: how it works
Partnering with hospices, hospitals, charities and similar organisations we train volunteers and staff to record the life stories of those who are under their care.
Our new, expanded mission is to train our own regional teams of specialist volunteer biographers to record the life stories of those who are in the later chapters of their lives wherever they are being looked after. Providing families with lasting memories of their loved one’s voice.
“The recording is one of my most prized possessions; an incredibly special gift she left behind.”

Our storytellers and families
What our storytellers say about the experience of recording their precious life stories.
What families and loved ones say about having the precious gift of their loved one’s voice.
“We are delighted to be able to offer patients the opportunity to record their precious life stories for loved ones to listen to when they are no longer here.
We know how important it is for them to leave a legacy and for their families to be able to share their stories after they have gone.”
Ruth Freeman
CEO for The Myton Hospices
Why what we do is so important
“I can’t think of many things more precious than the sound of a loved one’s voice. There is nothing I wouldn’t give to be able to hear my beloved son and mother tell the stories or their life, the things they loved, the things that brought them joy, the big and the small things”.

Chair of Stories for Life
